‘Tis the Season!

This year, Operation Santa is expanding to benefit both our Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit, as well as the Children’s Medical Center (CMC)! Your donations to Operation Santa will help spread cheer both for our youngest patients and those young at heart. During Operation Santa, the TGH Foundation will collect an array of gifts such as toys, books, gift cards and clothing/accessories for our CMC patients, as well as adult coloring and activity books, colored pencils, blankets, night gowns and baby dolls and legos for patients in our ACE Unit. Click Here to See the Operation Santa Wishlist!
We are also hosting several Holiday Give Back Events benefiting Operation Santa. For more information and to view the full list of participating partners click here.
Your generosity will be felt throughout the hospital all year long, not just during the holiday season. If you are interested in visiting the CMC or ACE Unit for a toy/gift delivery, please contact Lia Ferretti at or (813) 844-8381 to schedule.
We couldn't do this without you! 'Tis the season, indeed!

At TGH, in the heat of summer, we deck the halls in celebration of our Children’s Medical Center’s (CMC) Christmas in July! This year, multiple local businesses including Jacobs Engineering’s Enterprise Operations Group, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and CAPTRUST, Tampa brought the holiday spirit to our youngest, and often most vulnerable, patients.
Danny Sava, Ph.D. rallied the Jacobs’ Enterprise Operations employees and hosted a summer gathering where they collected over 300 donated toys, batteries included! Sava and a group of volunteers then came to the 5th floor playroom with their very own Santa to spread holiday cheer amongst the boys and girls. Also supporting this initiative, was the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. TGH benefitted as their July “charity of the month", receiving $5,000 for the Beats of Love program and a toy delivery from their “Summer Santa.” To wrap up the celebrations, volunteers from CAPTRUST, Tampa delivered some of the most needed items, such as books and puzzles, to our CMC Playroom.
Because of the valiant efforts of these corporations, every patient in our CMC was given a toy or two, with even siblings receiving a gift! As we prepare to launch our fall project, Operation Santa, we take time to reflect on the immeasurable generosity of our corporate friends.
