Tampa General Hospital’s physicians, nurses and front-line care providers are prepared to meet the needs of our community. Their courage to put themselves in harm’s way should be a reminder about all the reasons we support the noble endeavor of health care. Thank you for your support. Every gift matters!

Foundation Forward

The Official Newsletter of the Tampa General Hospital Foundation

June 24, 2020

In the past few months, your gifts to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund have been a difference-maker. They have allowed us to better care for critically ill patients in specialized ancillary treatment areas, provide personal protective equipment to protect our clinical teams, and obtain the necessary technology to more than triple our testing capabilities. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today, and for that we are immensely thankful!
Recently, our Tampa Bay community is experiencing a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases. With this increase comes new challenges – some known, some yet unknown. Tampa General Hospital remains diligent in our fight by continuing to aggressively address this current upward trend while enforcing strict safety measures to ensure the welfare of our patients and team members.
Your continued support is needed to help TGH meet these emerging, immediate critical care needs! Please consider a gift today.
From the bottom of our hearts… thank you!
Be safe and well,

To Donate to our TGH COVID-19 Support Fund,

Stuart and Karessa Lasher, along with their son Tyler Lasher, made a generous gift to the TGH Team Member Emergency Fund!
"The residents of Tampa are fortunate to have TGH, a teaching hospital in our community. TGH has more than 8,000 team members devoted to the health and welfare of Tampa. Because of COVID-19, many of these team members have been adversely affected and in a time of need. We would like to thank these team members for risking their lives and their dedication to our community."

Although visitors are currently prohibited at TGH during the COVID-19 pandemic, our hospital is continuously searching for innovative ways our patients can remain connected with their loved ones during their stay. Suncoast Credit Union recently came to our community’s rescue and made a generous donation of $100,000 to our COVID-19 fund. Because of our partnership, TGH was able to purchase Microsoft Surfaces and accessories, allowing patients to use video chat to virtually connect with their friends and families.
Thank you, Suncoast Credit Union, for providing hope and love to our patients!

Christmas In July

This year, our youngest patients are worried that Santa won’t make it to TGH, so we are calling on our
community to step up and help Santa’s elves!
Would you help spread cheer to TGH’s Children’s Medical Center?!

Young Philanthropists

Adelaide, a third-grade student, spent one week baking to raise money for TGH with her sister Mallory and her two friends, Elizabeth and Maggie. They sold cookies, muffins, brownies and more during their three hour bake sale, which raised $333 for our Team Member Emergency fund!
