The orthopedics program at Tampa General Hospital provides skillful care for a complete range of orthopedic conditions, such as arthritis, bone fractures, and musculoskeletal injuries. We perform joint replacement surgeries, complex tumor resections, and a multitude of other treatments, working collaboratively to improve each patient’s mobility, function, and quality of life. Here, patients have access to a multidisciplinary team of specialists – including physicians, surgeons, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and social workers – all in a single location, providing a simplified and convenient experience.

Not only does our orthopedics program excel at providing routine surgical procedures such as hip and knee surgery, but also at providing emergency orthopedic care for trauma situations. Our orthopedic trauma program provides orthopedic oncology services, fracture management, limb-sparing surgeries, bone and joint infection management, and corrective surgeries for knee conditions, hip conditions, and a variety of other orthopedic conditions. TGH maintains Gold Seal certification for orthopedic trauma from The Joint Commission and is also a regional referral center for complex orthopedic surgery.
